These Terms govern your use of BlurFaces. By using the service, you agree to these Terms.

Service Description

BlurFaces runs face detection and blurring locally in your browser. Optional server features include Stripe Checkout, short‑lived ShareLinks (24 hours) for blurred results only, and an optional cloud video processing service (compute) for longer clips. When you start a cloud video job, your video is uploaded only to process the blurred output and is automatically deleted within 24 hours.

Acceptable Use

  • Do not use the service to violate any laws or rights of others.
  • Do not attempt to reverse engineer, abuse rate limits, or bypass purchase gates.

Payments & Access

Paid features are processed by Stripe Checkout. After a successful purchase, you receive a short‑lived entitlement token stored in your browser to unlock features for the applicable period (e.g., 24‑hour pass or monthly plan). We do not store customer personal information on our servers.

When you opt in, ShareLinks point only to blurred results and expire automatically after 24 hours. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share the blurred content.

Your Content

You retain all rights to your photos. We do not upload originals. For ShareLinks, we may store the blurred output (or a pointer to it) temporarily to fulfill your request.

Privacy & Data

  • Video processing: For optional cloud video jobs, originals are uploaded only to produce the blurred output and are automatically deleted within 24 hours. See our Privacy Policy for details.
  • ShareLinks: Only blurred results (or pointers) are stored, and links expire after 24 hours.

BlurFaces is provided “AS IS” without warranties of any kind. It is a privacy aid and does not constitute legal advice. You are responsible for complying with applicable laws and policies where you share content.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BlurFaces will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or any loss of data or profits.

Changes

We may update the service and these Terms from time to time. We will update the date above and, when material, surface changes in‑app.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict‑of‑law rules.
